Contaminated Products
If your company is involved in manufacturing, retailing, wholesaling, exporting or distributing of products, you are vulnerable to product contamination or extortion. ROUM offers capacity of up to $10 million with the possibility of higher limits available.
Three elements of cover:
Accidental contamination – covers an accidental or unintentional contamination, or mislabelling of a product occurring during or as a result of its production, preparation, manufacture or packaging.
Product tampering – covers any actual, alleged or threatened, intentional, malicious and wrongful alteration or contamination of a product or adverse publicity implying this has happened.
Product extortion – covers threats to tamper with your products, for the purpose of demanding a ransom.
